The Nissan Altima Sedan, like the Coupe and Hybrid that shares its name, received a modest mid-cycle refresh for the latest model year. The Altima Sedan competes in the very competitive mid-size sedan segment and it’s available at West Herr Nissan, your dealer near Buffalo, NY.
The front-wheel drive, five-passenger Nissan Altima combines performance and an attractive exterior as either a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan.
The 2011 Nissan Altima Sedan is powered by either a 175-hp 2.5-liter V6 or a 270-hp 3.5-liter V6 and the transmission choices include a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Altima trims include: 2.5 (sedan only), 2.5 S and 3.5 SR. Safety features include: four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, six airbags, active front head restraints, vehicle stability and traction control, front seat-belt pre-tensioners and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Inside, the Altima Sedan has been given a redo, the changes include better interior fabrics and better quality material pieces, and the rear seat can be folded for more storage and to fit larger items in the car. The trunk has storage of 15.3 cubic feet.
The Altima Sedan’s navigation system sees the biggest upgrade for latest model, moving from a 4.3-inch display to a 6.5-inch touch-screen unit. Nissan’s Hard Drive Navigation System now includes advanced map data including speed limit advisories, Zagat restaurant guide, XM NavTraffic and XM NavWeather, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, DVD player and an RCA input for auxiliary audio/video connectivity. A 9.3 GB Music Box is also included in Nissan’s navigation system.
A new Bose audio system is also available on the Altima Sedan, featuring a standard 4.3 inch color display, 9-speakers, USB port and iPod connectivity, Bluetooth hands-free calling and Nissan’s RearView Monitor system.
